Shape the Future of Technology! The GACTC is seeking a passionate and qualified Electro Mechanical Engineering Teacher to join our thriving program. In this exciting role, you will inspire and empower high school students to become the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a curriculum in electro mechanical engineering theory, techniques, and practical applications, including lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments, to students at varying skill levels.
  • Provide hands-on instruction in electro mechanical technology, including DC and AC circuits, semiconductors, digital logic circuits, programmable
    logic controllers, basic mechanical principles, and computer applications.
  • Instruct students in soldering, robotics, automation, automated manufacturing, and mechatronics.
  • Plan and implement engaging instructional activities that encourage student participation and critical thinking.
  • Assess student performance and provide timely feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies in electrical technology.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes safety, quality outcomes, and collaboration among students.

Qualifications:

  • Pennsylvania teacher certification a plus
  • College courses leading to certification will be required
  • Minimum of four years verifiable industry experience required

Cooperative Education Coordinator opening beginning Fall 2024. Interested applicants should have a passion for fostering student success through the development, creation, implementation, and monitoring of work-based learning programs.  The individual chosen will be responsible for providing vision and leadership to the GACTC’s Office of Work-Based Learning.  The ability to connect and create relationships with regional businesses to the benefit of GACTC’s student population will be a key attribute of a successful candidate. Preference will be given to candidates with a PA Cooperative Education certification and those who can demonstrate a track record of successful relationship building with business and industry.  This is a FT, 186-day, faculty position with full benefits.
