HANDS-ON TRAINING TO PREPARE ADULTS FOR ELECTRICAL CAREERS
Within the curriculum, students gain fundamental knowledge, and hands-on experience with:
- electrical theory & scientific fundamentals
- electrical and automated controls practices
- reading schematics
- electrical controls
- building circuits
- working with the National Electrical Code
- raceway practices
- commercial & industrial power distribution
- transformers
- motors
- electrical testing & monitoring equipment
- energy management
- safety practices
- related math
POSSIBLE CERTIFICATIONS
- Postsecondary diploma
- OSHA 10-hour certification
- Telehandler/Mobile Elevated Work Platform Certification
- Fluke Digital Multimeter Basic Certification
- Hilti’s Power Actuated Tools Certificate
- American Ladder Institute Ladder Safety Certificate

September 2025 through May 2026; Weekly schedule is typically Monday through Thursday, 2 pm to 8:15 pm.

*Includes an optional laptop. If laptop is not needed through the GACTC, the cost of the laptop is deducted from the fees. Please see the program flyer to view detailed tuition and fees.
