The GACTC is seeking a dedicated professional to lead our Postsecondary Welding Diploma Program. The coordinator & lead instructor is responsible for the instructional delivery and the administrative oversight of the evening postsecondary (adult) diploma program. Interested candidates should have welding industry experience, the ability to teach both theory and hands-on curriculum as assigned, and a commitment to student learning. The program coordinator & lead instructor will deliver high-quality instruction aligned to the welding curriculum, including theory, demonstrations, and supervised shop activities. The program coordinator & lead instructor will maintain a safe learning environment by enforcing occupational hazards, safety practices, and regulatory standards. This is a part-time position; teaching schedule is typically evenings, Monday – Thursdays, fall through May. Interested candidates should have at least 4 years of welding experience; candidate should have, or be willing to obtain, American Welding Society certifications, ideally GMAW 2G, SMAW 3G, and FCAW 3G; teaching or training experience preferred but not required. The anticipated start date for this position is July 1, 2026.

Candidate will teach the Pennsylvania state-approved vehicle safety inspection training for auto mechanics to achieve the required certification to conduct vehicle safety inspections in Pennsylvania. The instructor teaches a 12-hour course, administers the written exam, and conducts the tactile testing. The schedule for the course varies; the typical course schedule includes evenings and/or weekends. Interested candidates must possess a current Pennsylvania Certified Inspection Mechanic license. Prior teaching experience is preferred, but not required, as other forms of instruction, such as automotive experience, can be considered. This is a part-time position paying $25.00/hour.

Interested candidates must possess a passion for teaching and empowering student success to prepare tomorrow’s practical nurses. Part-time/casual instructors may be responsible for didactic and clinical instruction, including oversight of students at local clinical sites. Excellent communication skills are necessary. Current PA RN licensure required. BSN preferred or enrollment in BSN program will be required. Maternal/child experience preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience.
