In a night of recognition and celebration, the GACTC proudly welcomed 70 outstanding
students into the prestigious National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during a banquet held
on November 16th. The event, coordinated by NTHS advisors Andrea Lascoli and Kelly
Mayville, showcased the incredible talents and achievements of these high-achieving
individuals. Students and instructors from Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry Arts, and Service
Occupations played an integral role in preparing both the venue and a delicious meal that was
enjoyed by all.
The National Technical Honor Society is renowned for honoring students who have
demonstrated excellence in their technical education programs. Inductees are recognized for
their achievements in academics, leadership, and community service, embodying the core
values of NTHS. In order to be eligible for membership in the National Technical Honor
Society, the student’s previous year grades need to average 93% or higher at the GACTC, and
85% or higher at their sending school. They are also required to have fewer than 10 days
absent and no behavior referrals for the previous year.
