I used to be involved in track back in 8th grade, and I’ve had a blast being part of the choir for about 4-5 years. For the past two years, I’ve been in the CTC program for Health and Medical Science. While I haven’t explored everything the CTC has to offer, I’m really grateful for the amazing sense of community it provides. I’ve found a second family here! Everyone is so nice and genuinely cares about the future of their graduating seniors. It’s a wonderful atmosphere filled with encouragement!

Future plans:

I’m really excited about going to college to pursue my major in diagnostic medical sonography! I can’t wait to jump into real-life college experiences and be part of a team where I can make new friends and really shine. The GACTC has always encouraged me to believe in myself, and I’m ready to take on that challenge.

Additionally, I’m interested in getting involved with the newspaper industry. During the summer after high school, I hope to work in a hospital to gain valuable hands-on experience in that setting. I also want to job shadow within my field to ensure it’s everything I’m looking for! I’m enthusiastic about learning and growing in my future career!

When Mrs. Clingman, my Health and Medical Science teacher, told me that it’s completely normal to feel upset or angry, she also emphasized the importance of not being too hard on ourselves. She explained that negative feelings can sometimes hold us back, and sometimes are only enemy is ourselves., doing better in the future. Mrs. Clingman reminded us that we all have so much potential within us; we just need to find ways to express and unleash it.
