We know that a great smile starts with a skilled dental team. We are incredibly proud to spotlight the seniors of our Dental Assistant program. These dedicated students are training in chairside assisting, dental radiography, office management, and more. From learning the complexities of oral anatomy to sterilization techniques, these seniors have gained the hands-on experience necessary to excel in any modern dental practice, leaving our labs with the professionalism and skills to make an immediate impact.

My favorite memory would be our trips to exams in Pittsburgh or college tours. I loved the ride up and being able to talk to everyone.

What is your favorite memory from your time at GACTC?
My favorite memory from CTC is going to Pittsburgh with Ms. Lascoli to take our DANB exams.

Students Against Destructive Decisions, School Wide Positive Behavior, Student Council, Take Pride in America, National Technical Honor Society, Tri-M (Music Honor Society), Marching Band, and the Vice President of the Glendale Science Club. I also work a part-time job at Ken’s Bilo Grocers in Patton and tend to my adorable pet chickens!
Future plans:
Attend Westmoreland County Community to obtain an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene and move back home, get married and have a handful of kids and more chickens than I can count!
What is your favorite memory from your time at GACTC?
Being part of the first group of students in the GACTC’s history to go to Pittsburgh and complete the Anatomy, Morphology, and Physiology test! Close second is the van rides to and from the testing center!

Join the work force and become a dental assistant.

All of the fun things we’ve done together as a class, spending time with awesome people, and going on field trips to Pittsburgh and Allegany College.

Deep cleaning the classroom at the end of the year while watching Cars with the friends I’ve made throughout my time here.
