The Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center is proud to spotlight the seniors of our Computer & Networking Technology program. These students have spent their time at the GACTC building the technical skills that keep today’s digital world connected. They’ve learned skills including troubleshooting computer systems, learning networking, cybersecurity, server administration, and more. Our students have gained hands-on experience, preparing them for careers in information technology.

Having Game days in Ms. Tapia’s room and the interviews.

Leading Tours.
Future plans:
Go to Penn College to get a degree in network administration.

Building the Gaming PC for the senior showcase.

Competed in SkillsUSA and placed fourth in the state for Information Technology Services.
Future plans:
Attend a two year program at South Hills for an associates degree in Information Technology. Eventually start a business in Network Consulting.
What is your favorite memory from your time at GACTC?
Building a high end PC at the Student Showcase with Miles Weber and Vincent Lyle.
Future plans:
Advancing in the IT Industry.
What is your favorite memory from your time at GACTC?
Enjoying the time I had with the friends I made here.

Opening a construction business and building computer systems.

Career fair during my junior year.

Go to college for cyber security.

When my class took a tour of the Penn state stadium.
Future plans:
I plan to take a gap year to determine if I need further education in my field.
What is your favorite memory from your time at GACTC?
Our field trip to the career fair at the convention center.
Future plans:
Going to work force probabily network technician.

Just coming to class everyday and enjoying my time here.
Future plans:
Go to South Hills.
What is your favorite memory from your time at GACTC?
The time someone in our class tried to take apart a PSU (power supply unit), the day before our instructor said not to.
