    Technology Coordinator (New Position)

    Interested candidates will possess a passion for technological innovation and how it can positively impact student achievement in the educational environment.  The individual chosen will be responsible for the development, installation, maintenance, and advancement of all aspects of building-wide technology including both hardware and software.  As part of the management team, strategic planning, budget development, and excellent communication skills are necessary.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in an educational setting and those with a track record of innovative accomplishments.  This is a FT, 12-month, management position with full benefits.

    Facilities Management Coordinator

    Interested candidates should aspire to impress all stakeholders who visit the GACTC’s expansive 215,000 square foot facility and surrounding grounds.  The individual chosen will be responsible for supervising all maintenance/custodial personnel, staffing, planning/scheduling of all maintenance and grounds work.  Critical responsibilities also include coordinating projects with outside contractors, maintaining materials inventory, managing preventative maintenance, and recommending actions to comply with regulations such as ADA, EPA requirements, hazardous waste, etc.  Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record coordinating construction and renovation projects including bid specifications and vendor management.  This is a FT, 12-month, management position with full benefits.

    Executive Administrative Assistant

    Interested candidates should embrace the opportunity to become the foundation of the GACTC’s administrative office. The individual chosen will have a proven track record of successfully providing high-level administrative support in a dynamic office environment.  Core skills of the successful candidate will include proficiency in the use of technology, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to anticipate needs, and strong time management skills.  Responsibilities of the position include maintaining employee files, submitting required reports, coordinating employee schedules, and drafting professional internal and external communications.  Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to stay organized in an ever-changing environment, and a strict level of confidentiality are all necessary.  This is a FT, 12-month, management position with full benefits.

    Professional Teaching/Counseling/Administrative Positions:

    Student Services Coordinator/Dean of Students

    Interested candidates should desire to foster positive relationships with high school age students by utilizing both formal and informal behavior counseling.  The individual chosen will assume responsibility for encouraging positive student behavior through the administration and enforcement of prescribed policies and help to cultivate an environment of accountability through relationships throughout the building.  Responsibilities also include the coordination of student services activities, including student recruitment, program selection, and placement.  The duties of the position will make this individual a key contributor to positive school-wide culture.  Preference will be given to candidates with a PA Principal Certification.  This is a FT, 12-month, management position with full benefits.

    Work-Based Learning Coordinator (New Position)

    Interested candidates should have a passion for fostering student success through the development, creation, implementation, and monitoring of work-based learning programs.  The individual chosen will be responsible for providing vision and leadership to the GACTC’s newly created Office of Work-Based Learning.  The ability to connect and create relationships with regional businesses to the benefit of GACTC’s student population will be a key attribute of a successful candidate.  Preference will be given to candidates with a PA Co-Op certification and those who can demonstrate a track record of successful relationship building with business and industry.  This is a FT, 12-month, faculty position with full benefits.

    Special Education Teacher (New Position)

    Interested candidates should have a desire to provide academic enrichment and learning strategies to students who receive special education services, services through Section 504, and those students identified as special populations.  The individual chosen will assist program teachers in the implementation of the IEP/504 through appropriate instructional practices, delivering individual and small group instruction where necessary, and serving as a liaison between sending schools and instructional staff and administration.  Candidate will assist students with the transition from school-to-work and coordinate IEP meetings. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate extensive knowledge of current PA and federal special education regulations/mandates. PA special education certification required. This is a FT, 9-month, faculty position with full benefits.

    Instructional Assistant – Expanded Function Dental Assistant, Part-time Program

    Interested candidates should be excited to work alongside GACTC’s expert instructional staff and share their knowledge of the functions of an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) with adult students. In this position, the chosen individual will demonstrate knowledge of safe work practices in the dental setting and be able to perform and teach the functions of an EFDA. Responsibilities include assisting in student supervision, ensuring safe operation of equipment, and reinforcing the instructor’s lessons. The schedule of the part-time EFDA program is typically 12 consecutive Saturdays from 8:30 am to 6 pm, although the hours may vary. The position requires a current EFDA certificate and at least 2 years of experience as an EFDA. This is a part-time, hourly position.

    Instructional Assistant – Welding/Machining (New Position)

    Interested candidates should be excited to work alongside GACTC’s expert instructional staff and share their knowledge of the welding/machining trades with high school age students.  The individual chosen will possess entry level skill in welding/machining and have a demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices in a manufacturing environment.  Responsibilities include assisting in student supervision, ensuring safe operation of equipment, and reinforcing the instructor’s lessons.  Preference will be given to individuals with strong references and a track record of safely operating industrial equipment.  This is a FT, 9-month, assistant position with full benefits.

    Custodian

    Interested candidates should have a commitment to providing an exceptionally safe, sanitary, and well maintained educational facility.  The individual chosen will have experience providing custodial and light maintenance duties in a professional setting.  Responsibilities include a blend of indoor duties such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing and outdoor duties including glass cleaning, maintaining entry ways, and snow removal.  Ability to perform basic maintenance work and minor repairs is preferred.  This is a FT, 12-month, custodial position with full benefits.
