Students are expected to:

This course is a three-year program that encompasses most of the areas that make up the present day computer field. In the first year, students delve into the inner workings of computer system components. Emphasis is placed on diagnostics and trouble shooting with a variety of industry standard test equipment and software.
This curriculum teaches networking based on application, covering concepts based on the types of practical network students may encounter from home and small offices, to more complex enterprise models. Students learn the basics of routing, switching, and advanced technologies to prepare for CISCO CCENT(TM) or CompTIA Network+ Certification tests.
Networking Academy(TM) students will learn technology concepts with the support of interactive media and apply and practice this knowledge through a series of hands-on and simulated activities that reinforce their learning.
Students graduate from the program with a well-rounded computer background technically prepared to enter a very promising job market. Successful students may continue in semesters 3 through 8 at selected post-secondary institutions to attain further certification as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
